The Future Past: Part I
Apr. 23rd, 2010 02:07 pmWho: Jack (me), John Hart (
cptn_john_hart )
When: 25 years after COE, 175 years before "present time"
Alonso had died within the first year that Jack had been with him. The Doctor meant well, trying to fix his old friend's broken heart, but the boy had been too rash, too filled with the need for heroics. He'd taken a bullet and bled out before Jack could actually get him to a medic. After that, several other men and women and other sorts of genders paraded themselves into and out of his life. Half ended up dead, the other half could not be bothered with his suave coldness.
Time healed all wounds however, and while the eyes of a Welshman he'd never loved until his death haunted him each morning as he woke up alone or to the back of someone else's head, Jack got over the pain until it was just a momentary ache and a carried on. His life would be very long and if every setback hurt him, he'd be insane in a hundred more years.
Jack was tired just the same. He set himself on Palarius 7, endless black beaches, cute things to take home at night from the village, and solitude.
