John Hart's Training

((Directly after this post))

The message to John Hart was sweet.  Jack smiled into his cuff.  "You're the best there is, John, and I need the best.  I'll make it worth your while."  He stated the year code for the other former Time Agent.  "In the Four Seasons, the Ty Warner penthouse.  It has a pool on the balcony.  Seriously."

After that, Jack slipped into the bathroom with Ianto and his 'eye candy' outfit.  Tight black jeans.  No shirt.

"I think it might be too obvious," Jack murmured.  "What about that tight red shirt we bought the other day with New York and his fiancee?"  It would only be a matter of time for John to arrive.

Jack's telepathy never kicked in when it mattered, so he simply thought that the two men glaring at one another were simply being hostile and not openly jealous. Jack's arms did not move from around John's waist, he did like the feel of the smaller man, even in all of his crazy attire.

Actually. He was very fond of the boots. He'd have to get a pair for Ianto.

"I told you, I need your expertise. There's no one as good as you when it comes to combat training." Jack had been an interrogator. John...well...he was a bit of a murderer, wasn't he? "You did wonders for Izzy."

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ianto's fingers twitched, but he calmed them. Jack and Hart had a history. He accepted that. He just wished Jack would stop having histories with people that wanted to kill him. They were always unpleasant people.

Made him wonder why Jack had suddenly decided to start shagging a polite, clean cut, young Welshman. He tried to calm the burgeoning jealousy.

"I need...training," he said simply. If he spoke too much he'd end up being rude, and Jack didn't need that sort of assistance. Did they really have to keep on hugging though?

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, he liked the hug. And he was going to make the most of it. Yes, John could be a bastard and he loved acting like one too. It was part of who he was.

"So you brought me here to teach your boy toy to fight? Now why would I want to do that?" Why would John want to help Ianto, after all it was obvious to him that Jack was dumping him for him.

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack would have found the dumping of John Hart amusing. They had spent more time together than anyone else in Jack's long life, but that hardly meant that they were together. John never figured that out though.

"Because I'm asking you to. And because you like doing it. I know you. You've got to miss being an instructor, even if it's just to show off." Jack grinned at his friend, gently patting his cheek. "I'm sure we can work out any extra costs."

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm an attentive student," Ianto said wryly, uncrossing his arms. He needed to relax. The way he was acting was irrational. Jack wanted them to be something. Not just shagging. He brought John here to HELP him.

"Look at the plus side...you're going to be allowed to hit me without repercussions."

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack looked at him and then at Ianto before moving back, heading for the poor excuse of a mini bar. He picked out a bottle of vodka and downed the contents without batting an eyelid.

"Right and then after you two get to play happy families and I get what? A swift kick up the ass and don't bother us again?"

John scoffed at that, while he could do something they wanted they'd need him around.

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"I've never kicked you out," Jack said before he corrected himself. "I haven't kicked you out in a long time. You were the one that got bored of the pirate life." He could have stayed on board the Ricochet forever. Jack liked having him around when he wasn't be possessive.

Mostly.

And they had fun together while it lasted, right? Maybe he was falling into a bad habit, though, if looking up the man only when he was needed.

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"We're not playing happy families," Ianto muttered. No, they were playing at adventures with a great deal of shagging thrown in. The problem with adventures is Ianto kept on almost dying. Unless he could find a way to make himself immortal, he was doomed.

He almost reached out to take Jack's hand, but pulled back. No reason to upset the Time Agent anymore than he already was.

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
"You know me, I like to wander after a while, and so did you at one point." But John was a man who wanted a lot of attention and he knew to get out before Jack kicked him out.

Yet here they were.

"No, you've just replaced me love, with him," he motioned towards Ianto, "What is it about him that's so...appealing?"

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Trust me," Jack said, taking his arms back. Once John started in on the 'love' bit, he really needed to discourage him a little and that was simply impossible giving him a hug. "I have not replaced you. Not even slightly."

John Hart was John Hart. Ianto Jones was Ianto Jones. He didn't see the correlation there.

"And you can see what's appealing as well as I can."

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ianto rolled his eyes. Now they'd start to talk aesthetics. He'd been dreading this. It made him feel like a horse, put up for auction.

"I assume you're talking about my wit and charm?" he said dryly, his tone expressing how much he liked the direction this conversation was taking.

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"Right, so pretty boy here isn't your latest shag toy?" It was a defense thing, insulting people with pet names. Was he jealous? Oh yes he was. Was he pissed off that Jack wanted him here to help Ianto.

You've no idea how much.

"So you think that because he's got a cute ass he should your bed buddy?" He huffs a little, looking Ianto over, "Under all that he's nothing but a pussy."

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack shook his head because 'toy' was not the proper term for Ianto at all. And there was a second shake of the head simply because of the insults. "John." He put a hand to the blond's back and steered him out of the room and towards the balcony.

Jack Harkness could be an insensitive bastard without even realizing it. That was his whole problem.

John was here to teach Ianto not to die...and because he was Jack's only friend. He missed him.

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Ianto watched them walk off, and stared down at his bare feet. This was a bloody disaster. He was completely paranoid Jack was going to change his mind about spending time with him, especially because he was so hard to take care of.

He guessed he better hope his arse was as nice as Jack and John kept on saying it was...

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Jack," he looked at him and raised both his eyebrows, waiting for him to carry on with what he was saying.

Allowing Jack to take him away, he glanced at Ianto for a moment before stepping out into the cool air.

"What? I was playing nice in there."

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack smirked. "You were not playing nicely and you know it," he pointed out with a smug sort of smile.

Central Park spread out below them, fifty floors below, and the city could be seen kissing the sky. This penthouse was amazing, four balconies, three bedrooms, a library, a swimming pool that seemed to pour straight over the edge to the ground...

"If you're not interested in training him, you should still stay with us. But I've been getting into a lot of trouble lately. And this place...it's weird."

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Ianto needed a distraction. He began cleaning up the suite, picking up dirty towels and clothes, and bundling them up.

He ordered room service, asking them to bring dinner for three, and got on the phone with the other Jack, confirming their facade in New York for next week.

Anything to distract him from the two of them.

[identity profile] cptn-john-hart.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
John looked at Jack before he started to laugh, "You're giving me a free ticket to beat up eye candy and you're wondering if I'm going to back out?" He scoffed a little, shaking his head, "And I thought you knew me!"

Not that proposition had John interested, "With us, and just how will 'staying with us' actually work? Because if we're talking the couch here, you can piss right off."

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack leaned back against the railing and crossed his arms over his chest. "There's a spare bedroom," he quipped, though he knew that John would be fussy about that. He hadn't actually discussed this with Ianto. It wasn't that it hadn't crossed his mind, it was just that a few thousand years did not make Jack Harkness any smarter.

[identity profile] stopwatchdabble.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"The food will be here in a half hour," Ianto said softly, walking out onto the balcony. "I'm going to...jump in the pool while I'm waiting."

He glanced between them. "Please, continue." He turned his back, walking into the suite once more.

He just rolled his eyes and moved to sit down on one of the chairs, feet up against the railing, "Right, because that's an incentive to stay. Sleep in the spare room and listen to you bang the tea boy, not thanks. I'd rather have my balls nailed to a trees...and I did that to a bloke once. Didn't much like it."

Hearing Ianto he looked over, "I hope you're wearing nothing but what you were born in.."

[identity profile] cpt-51century.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
The got a laugh out of Jack, not the balls to a tree deal, but what he said to Ianto. "I bought him this pair of trunks, black and white pinstripe like his suits, right? And their soooo tiny. I want him to wear them with his shoes and a tie."
